The Heating Sensor Probe is mounted in a corrugated tube for free replacement if necessary. The end of the tube is sealed and placed in the floor between the heating cable coils, as close as possible to the floor surface.

In thermostats with two sensors (floor and air), MR7-3380 is used as a floor temperature limiter sensor:

The maximum temperature limit is used to protect the floor structure from overheating, for example, wooden flooring. The sensor is mounted in places where excessive temperatures may occur.
The minimum temperature limitation is used to improve thermal comfort. The sensor is mounted in the same way as the floor temperature sensor.
